Our Babies

I thank God for our darling little girls and their different, but wonderful personalities, and their love of life. I am excited to see them grow into young ladies. Thank-you God for the wonderful privilege of being a Mommy!

Your view of God and His love

What is your view of God? This is something I have been thinking about a lot lately? My view of Him over the years has really been distorted, I believe. Tonight, we had a women's class at church and my pastor's wife was talking about our view of God. In order to see ourselves properly, we must see God properly. When you do something wrong,do you feel His discipline? Do you also feel his love during these times or are you so focused on the correction and the guilt that you can't see his love. I think that I am having a hard time really seeing his love. But it is there, I know it. As a Mommy, I love my babies unconditionally. They could never do anything to change my love for them. When I discipline them it is because I love them, because I want what is best for them. Yet, my love for them is earthly, so uncomparable to God's love for me. To truly grasp His love for me , to see myself as He sees me and to show this same love to others are my greatest desires. I think maybe I have "blithered" a little in this post, but this is on my heart. I would love to read your comments about what I have shared. What is your view of God? Do you know that He loves you just in your head, or does it resound in you heart as well?

Explanation

I suppose I should explain the pig-wrestling post. The object of it all was for your team to be the quickest to catch the pig and then carry it to a barrel in the middle of the mud hole and place it on top and crown it with a hat. The team with the shortest time won a trophy with a "gold" pig on it!!! I know, it totally makes you all want to do it!!!;)

Pig Wrestling Champs

I know you must be thinking"What in the world?!" But as the pictures show, I am now a pig wrestling champ!!! Ard's Farm Market in Lewisburg has been having these pig wrestling nights once a month. It is unbelievable the amount of people who attend to watch and the amount of teams that are there to wrestle. I know, how redneck can a person get?!!! Anyway, some friends of mine and I decided to broaden are "experiences" in life and do this disgusting thing! We finally won 1st place!!! Anyway, in case you haven't figured it by now, I'm a country bumkin willing to get a little dirty to have a good time!!! Ye-Haw! :)

Apple Pie

For the first time ever, I entered my apple pie into the West End Fair. It was the blue ribbon contest. If I got 1st place, I could enter one in Harrisburg for the State Farm Show. I did not quite succeed, but I did win 2nd place!!! I think I'll have to enter one again next year and tweak my receipt a little.
